BATW is pleased to announce the new membership of Lara Kaylor, Director of Communications for Mammoth Lakes Tourism, and Wayne Serrano, a San Francisco-based documentary photographer.
Lara Kaylor, Associate Member
Lara Kaylor is an outdoor enthusiast who gets her thrills from big time recreation in Mammoth Lakes, where she resides with her husband and 130-pound Malamute. An award-winning journalist, Lara has been writing about all things Eastern Sierra since 2003. Most recently she has been published in Sierra Heritage Magazine as well as SKI Magazine online. She spent a decade working for the local newspapers in Mammoth Lakes and currently works as a freelance writer in addition to her role as Director of Communications for Mammoth Lakes Tourism.
As Director of Communications, Lara is responsible for the organization’s domestic media relations, including Visit California Domestic. She works as a liaison between Mammoth Lakes Tourism and the Mammoth Lakes community to develop relevant content that continues to raise awareness about the destination. Wayne Serrano, Provisional Member
Wayne Serrano began his professional career working as an editorial and commercial photographer for regional newspapers and magazines. Today, after 20-plus years in the photography profession, he remains heavily influenced by his love of photojournalism and documentary photography.
According to Wayne, he has always gained the greatest amount of personal satisfaction and pleasure from creating images that are beautiful, that highlight diversity and are also thought provoking.
