From the President: September 2017

Molly Blaisdell

Dear Members:
Ready to give something back to BATW? If you’re a General member, consider running for the 2018 BATW Board of Directors.
As a Board member, you’ll get to help set the organization’s goals, analyze ideas, and vote on programs. The Board has two or three 90-minute lunch meetings during the year (held on Saturdays, after meetings), along with shorter teleconferences as needed. We usually have a weekend retreat early in the year in a great location such as Asilomar, Half Moon Bay, or Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite; these offsite meetings are extremely productive—and fun, too.
It’s easy to run for the Board. Send a 100-word profile, telling members a bit about you and why you want to serve, to president@batw.org no later than Wednesday, October 25.
Remember: BATW is a volunteer-run organization, and our strength and effectiveness depend on member participation—your participation.
We look forward to hearing from you by October 25th.
