The Presidio Visitor Experience: A Special Tour for BATW Members
The Presidio of San Francisco has come into its own as a “must see” destination for visitors from the Bay Area and beyond. The national park site features 24 miles of hiking and biking trails, museum and recreational destinations, birding hotspots, vistas with breathtaking Golden Gate views, and a world-class golf course.
After our general meeting, park staff will take BATW members on a guided journey (via chartered bus) around a portion of the 1,491-acre Presidio to see the latest amenities welcoming the community. The visit will culminate in a tour of the new Inn at the Presidio, the park’s first lodge and the first hotel to open in San Francisco since 2009. The event will close with a light reception.
The general meeting and light reception is open to all BATW members, but the tour bus can only accommodate a limited number of riders. Therefore, if you wish to attend the full program, RSVP on the regular BATW online reservation system as soon as possible to guarantee seating. Here are the specs for the meeting:
10 a.m. – Meet & greet in Room #103 (parking will be prearranged, with info to follow via email)
10:30 a.m. – General Meeting
11 a. m. – Organized tour of the Presidio with park staff
12 p.m. – Return to Inn at the Presidio for a light reception*
*Please note: there will not be any refreshments served until 12 p.m. Therefore, if you are a “breakfast person,” you should make certain to have something to eat prior to attending the meeting.
