BATW October Meeting – October 21, 2017
Hawaii Calls – A Culinary Journey including a hosted luncheon
Palace Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel
2 New Montgomery St., San Francisco, CA
In addition to its breathtaking scenery and irresistible beaches, Hawaii is also a “foodie’s paradise,” offering cross-cultural dining experiences to suit all palates and price ranges. Our luncheon at The Palace will highlight some of the tastes of the Islands and provide attendees with a brief update on what’s new, what’s tasty and what’s ahead for the Hawaiian Islands.
Are you aware that the West Coast is the number one source of travelers to Hawaii? Yes, 48% of Hawaii’s visitors are from the West Coast, with the bulk being from California. Californians also comprise the highest percentage of repeat visitors to the islands. And why not? It’s just a 5-hour flight from most West Coast gateways, with many direct flights to the Neighbor Islands.
SPG (Starwood Preferred Guest) Resorts will be teaming up with Marriott International and Hawaiian Airlines to bring you an entertaining program.
KQED’s John Sepulvado, host of The California Report will make a presentation about the state of Public Broadcasting, KQED’s partnerships with affiliate stations throughout the state and insights about the California Report during the luncheon.
Sign up to your official email invitation – and be sure to bring an appetite and a sense of adventure! Also remember that BATW’s reservation policy is in effect. Note that there is a maximum of 45 members; due to the nature of this event, this is a members-only opportunity.
