Here’s the enticing details about April Orcutt’s February 25 appearance at the monthly Armchair Travelers program at the Livermore Civic Center Library in Livermore:

Join journalist-writer-photographer April Orcutt for stories and a slideshow about the untamed Northern Territory of Australia, including the remote city of Darwin and quirky Kakadu National Park. The park’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but the area’s sometimes called “Australia’s Wild West” – and it certainly has the wacky characters and critters to fit the bill. April will also cover Sydney and Australia’s more accessible east coast, but the real fun is north with powerful crocodiles, cute wallabies, “Dreamtime” Aboriginal rock art, and the water buffalo from the film Crocodile Dundee. We’ll follow a literal yellow-brick road in the country that’s aptly nicknamed “Oz.”
