Marc Longwood Becomes BATW’s Executive Director

BATW is pleased to announce the appointment of Marc Longwood as Executive Director, replacing Jim Gebbie. Here’s a look at Marc’s illustrious career.

Marc’s professional life began working as a wildlife biologist for nine years. But the creative bug began while in grad school, leading to a career in photography. Living in California’s capital city, Marc began his photographic career as a stringer on the capital beat for the Los Angeles Times and Business Week, which led to more intimate and creative productions for magazine portraiture and features.

Marc’s editorial work has graced the pages of many retail and trade magazines, including Fortune, Business Week, Entrepreneur, Sierra, Success, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Today’s Woman, and so many more.

Marc’s need for adventure and travel has also led him now to travel writing and photography for magazines and online media. Among his published works are several travel articles and a book titled Weekends for Two in Southern California ~ 50 Romantic Getaways. This naturally led to him to doing hospitality photography for hotels and resorts.

NOTE: Marc can be reached at communications@batw.org.
