May Meeting: Fog Harbor Fish House, Pier 39 – May 16, 2015

BATW Meeting – May 16, 2015
Fog Harbor Fish House, Pier 39 (S.F.)
Fog Harbor Fish House will offer stunning views of the bay—and much more—for our monthly gathering on Sat., May 16, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
First we’ll enjoy a hot breakfast buffet in the restaurant, then we’ll move next door to the Pier 39 Theater for a 45-minute video and PowerPoint presentation by three representatives from California Highway 1 Discovery Route. Chief Administrative Officer Diane Strachan will speak on the topic of stewardship travel along this route; the organization promotes San Luis Obispo County’s relatively undiscovered unincorporated towns and rural areas along the Coast Highway.
As noon approaches, the fun will continue with signature appetizers and cocktails from Fog Harbor inside the theater and a drawing for prizes from the Discovery Route folks (a two-night weekend stay on the Discovery Route, stewardship travel activities/adventures, and dining and wine tasting gift certificates) and Fog Harbor (two $100 gift cards for lunch and dinner). Everyone will go home with goody bags from Discovery Route (stewardship travel bag with Central Coast items) and Pier 39/Fog Harbor (including a Pier 39 Premier Pass good for free admission at the Aquarium of the Bay, Carousel, 7-D Experience and a Blue & Gold Cruise or RocketBoat ride).
Three hours of free validated parking will be provided at Pier 39 Garage (2 Beach St.), or you can take BART, MUNI or a ferry to Embarcadero Station or the Ferry Building, then a historic F-line streetcar to the pier.
Attendance will be limited to 52. RSVP by May 14. You should have already received the EventBrite invitation about a week ago. If not, email me: Bob Cooper, cooperite@comcast.net.
Please observe BATW’s new RSVP policy, now in effect.
Bob Cooper, May Meeting Coordinator
