According to new General member Natasha Bourlin, “Travel is not just an indulgence or luxury for me—it’s my lifeblood, my sustenance. A first-generation American born of two people employed by a major airline, a jetliner was my cradle growing up, and a driving desire to travel became ingrained within me from a very young age.
“In 2016, I left a business I’d built and a 15-year career doing destination and hospitality PR to pursue my dream of becoming a freelance travel writer. This chosen career path tapped into both of my deepest passions: writing and traveling. Based in Reno/Tahoe, since embarking on this path, I’ve been honored to have been published in a variety of media outlets, including USA Today, the San Francisco Chronicle, Reno Gazette-Journal, edible Sacramento, edible Reno Tahoe, Reno Magazine, Getaway Reno Tahoe, Reno Tahoe Tonight, the Arizona Republic and TripAdvisor’s blog, and have recently completed assignments in others that are awaiting publication.”
Natasha’s specific travel interests include “beaches and budget travel, with expertise in destinations including Hawaii, New Orleans, Lake Tahoe, Reno, San Francisco and Las Vegas, among others,” she says.
