Mark your calendars and get out your party clothes: BATW’s annual Holiday Party will be from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the newly renovated Berkeley Boathouse at the DoubleTree by Hilton Berkeley Marina.
We’ll party waterside at sunset in the nautically themed Berkeley Boathouse with unobstructed views of the spectacular waterfront and San Francisco skyline on locally-sourced complimentary small plates, beer, wine and a signature cocktail. And if you want to party on, the cash bar remains open after 5 p.m. – and the DoubleTree by Hilton Berkeley Marina is offering us rooms at a special media rate of $139 for the night (see link below to register).
Please register by December 1st, as our host needs a head count.
Once again, our Naughty & Nice Holiday Elves will be handing out gifts and raffles galore. Visit Berkeley is donating two “Made in Berkeley” gift baskets stuffed with food and drinks from the city, and BAMPFA (Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive) will offer two pairs of gallery passes and a special surprise gift to be revealed the day of the party. We will raffle off two dinners at the Berkeley Boathouse and two overnight stays at the DoubleTree by Hilton Berkeley Marina, courtesy of the hotel.
Our fabulous White Elephant gift exchange is on again. Everyone who brings a gift (festively wrapped, of course) will get a gift. We’re emphasizing recycling for the season of giving, so consider gifting a terrific and gently-used item you know a BATW member would enjoy. Quirky items welcome. If you decide to buy a gift, please spend less than $20.
There is no limit on the number of members attending. BATW members may bring guests for a $10 fee. Please include them in your reservation and let us know ASAP how many will be attending. Our hosts need a head count by Dec. 1.
