BATW provides members with professional development and networking opportunities, access to fascinating venues and press trips, and the opportunity to meet and form lasting friendships with working travel journalists and other industry professionals.
Would you like to attend a BATW meeting to learn more about our organization? Most of our meetings are held in or near San Francisco, usually on the third Saturday of each month. Prospective members are welcome to attend an event (unless the program information says “Members Only”). Just let us know in advance by sending an email to Programs@BATW.org.
General Members: BATW’s General Members are practicing travel journalists (writers, broadcasters, photographers, influencers and other members of the media). They have met BATW publication requirements, agree to abide by our Code of Professional Conduct, and have applied and been approved for membership. Learn more.
Corporate Members: BATW Corporate Members are professionally affiliated with or represent public relations agencies, tourist boards, or other organizations in the travel-related communication industry. Learn more.
Provisional Members: BATW Provisional Members do not meet the requirements for General Membership but aspire to do so; they are allowed two years to qualify as General Members. Provisional Members may attend meetings, but are not invited to press trips and cannot vote. Learn more.
Student Members: BATW offers a low-cost student membership to full-time students over the age of 21 who are interested in travel journalism. For more information, contact email@example.com.
