The Outdoor Writers Association of California invites all members of BATW to attend their spring conference May 10-12 at Big Bear Lake in southern California, one of the state’s premiere outdoor recreation areas. Plus, save a day or two before and/or after to participate in more of the great activities available to OWAC conference attendees during the pre- and post-conference days. OWAC’s hosts in the region are eager to welcome journalists from our writers’ organization.
OWAC is offering a reduced guest rate of $195, which includes two nights at The Lodge at Big Bear Lake in the heart of Big Bear Village, all meals, and participation at all conference activities. Additional nights before or after the conference are available at a reduced rate for conference attendees. Registration will open March 14, 2022, with more details available at that time. All conference program details will be announced in mid-April.
Located in the Bernardino National Forest, Big Bear Lake is known for fishing, hiking, mountain biking and more. With over a dozen eateries, the resort offers food for every taste from basic sandwiches to candle-lit gourmet dining. For further information check out the website at www.bigbear.com.
