BATW member Kimberley Lovato is hosting  a celebration for the launch of her debut children’s picture book PISA LOVES BELLA: A TOWERING TALE OF KINDNESS  on Wednesday, August 7 @ 6 pm, at Sausalito Books by the Bay (walking distance from the ferry landing) in downtown Sausalito. There will be Prosecco, cake, books, conversation, and writing community catch up.  All are welcome.

BATW member Barbara Barrielle has produced and directed (with cinematographer Kellen Lim) a 25 minute film on the Anderson Valley in Mendocino County. Capturing the original winemakers and families that found their way to Anderson Valley in Mendocino County in the 1970s, this made-on-a-shoestring documentary has captured the hearts of Mendocino residents and is preparing to bring the story of Anderson Valley to other film festivals around the U.S. and internationally. CBS Morning News (Bay Area) recently featured Marybeth Bond on its  Travel Tuesday segment. “After a refreshing hiatus spent penning travel books and articles, Marybeth is making a grand return to TV travel segments. With her deep knowledge spanning Culinary Delights, Wine, Culture, Women’s Travel, Small Ship and River Cruises, Luxury Getaways, and Adventure Escapades, she’s ready to share her insights. This segment is all about empowering women and the thrill of solo travel—don’t miss out on her exciting, expert advice.” Watch it here.

BATW Board Member Erin Deinzer has had a piece published in June 2024. Corporate & Incentive Travel: The Bahamas & Caribbean covers tropical destinations for event planners to consider for business-related travel. The 2,700-word article was the culmination of research and interviews with a variety of travel and tourism partners, as well as corporate planners.

BATW Exec. Dir. Ginny Prior has an article coming out in the New Zealand Herald, New Zealand’s largest newspaper, in August. The feature is on the Gulf of Naples island of Ischia. Ginny has also been working with San Joaquin Magazine editor and BATW board member Nora Tarte  on feature articles for San Joaquin Magazine. A cover story on extraordinary animal experiences is out in the August issue. BATW member John Williamson shot many of the photos. Read it here.
