Attention aspiring travel writers and photographers! The nonprofit SATW Foundation will provide two tuition scholarships to the Book Passage Travel Writers & Photographers Conference, August 7–9, in Corte Madera, California: the Paul Lasley Scholarship for those who want to sharpen their writing skills, and the Ed Stone Scholarship for those who want to tell stories through their photography.
The conference offers morning classes on writing, photography, and digital storytelling. Afternoon panels and presentations address such topics as book publishing, guidebook writing, podcasting, and pitching.
Faculty members include some of the best writers, editors, and content creators in the industry. Participants may interact with them not only in organized sessions, but also over meals, informal get-togethers, and evening events.
