Save the date of Thursday, October 8 from 5-6 p.m. when Dianne de Guzman of Eater SF joins BATW on Zoom for a one hour discussion on food writing. The talk will cover food writing, pitching for this topic specifically, the current media landscape around food, and adapting creative approaches as a result of it.
De Guzman is the regional editor for Eater’s Northern California/Pacific Northwest sites. She covers the restaurant, bar, and pop-up scene in the San Francisco Bay Area, along with Portland, and Seattle. She’s also worked as the Food + Drink editor at SFGATE; a public safety reporter for the Vallejo Times-Herald; a contributor to SFist and Valleywag; and as a web producer for the Los Angeles Times. She is a UC Berkeley graduate and earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism at the University of Southern California.
