Renée Alexander is a Bay Area-based writer whose stories covering travel, food, and culture have been published in Vice, Wired, Saveur, San Francisco Chronicle, SF Gate, 7×7, Rest of World, KQED, and The Atlantic. She has reported on stories from Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay, Argentina, and Indonesia. She recently returned to travel writing after fulfilling a 30-year dream to serve in the Peace Corps.
