BATW Members Still Publishing in Pandemic

Diane Covington Carter pens a piece on living in New Zealand as they tame Covid 19 and resume ‘normal’ life. It was in the Napa Valley Register on August 4th.

Lina Broydo publishes an article in LaOferta, the #1 bilingual publication in the United States. The timely piece details the U.S. Post Office unveiling of a stamp celebrating the centennial of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, guarantying women the right to vote.

Ginny Prior takes a calming approach to her July article in Diablo Magazine on Spiritual Retreats. The first person piece highlights five Northern California getaways to religious retreat centers that welcome everyone with fragrant gardens, quiet walking trails, abundant wildlife and – at one hermitage – chanting monks.

Judith Horstman teamed up with John Williamson to publish an article and photographs on Oakland’s Mountain View Cemetery. The historic burial place with its popular walking paths was the site of a BATW meeting in 2019. The article appeared in June in Montclair Living, Piedmont Living and Berkeley Hills Living Magazines.
