BATW members are cordially invited to the launch party for Wandering in Japan: The Spirit of Tokyo, Kyoto and Beyond. Several of our BATW colleagues are represented in this 8th anthology of stories and poems from Wanderland Writers. MJ Pramik and Anne Sigmon each have two pieces in the book. Laurie McAndish King does, too, and she co-edited the book along with Linda Watanabe McFerrin. Jim Shubin took the cover photo, and Jim and Laurie both contributed interior photos.
The launch party is on Saturday, September 10th at 2:00, at Book Passage in Corte Madera.
The celebration will include live shamisen music, sake tasting, and short readings from this new anthology, which features stories and poems about magical foxes, demanding Buddhas, the dark side of Mount Fuji, mountain monasteries, ancestral spirits, music, ghosts, mysterious monks, a breakfast with a founder of Sony, and more.
