Diane LeBow recently received her 9th Solas Award, going back to 2005, among them two Golds and Three Silvers. Her Silver award this year was for her story “Song of the Sirens” about her “bouncy adventures in the Greek Islands with her frisky mom,” she says. It will be one of three Greek adventures that will appear in her upcoming travel memoir.
In other news, Diane is joining Phil Cousineau, writer and filmmaker, and Georgios Spiradakis, local expert on Minoan culture, on Crete for an in-depth exploration into the archaeology and myths of ancient Minoan culture in early April. Diane taught Greek literature for many years and has published articles about her visits to Greece, mainland and numerous islands. Greece: A Love Story, (Seal Press) published some of her work (ed. Camille Cusamano).
