Welcome to 2020! BATW goes barreling into a new year with our January meeting at the new Chase Center – home of the Golden State Warriors. This is a hot venue for our annual meeting, and your chance to pepper the new Board of Directors with questions – as well as share your ideas for BATW in the new decade.
Looking deeper into our monthly meeting schedule, we see opportunities for a number of professional development programs, including social media and self-promotion workshops, an editor’s panel, photography walks and our corporate travel marketplace. Venues abound; but we’ll be at Anchor Steam in San Francisco in February, along with future gatherings in as many of the nine Bay Area counties as possible (Napa and Sonoma are slam dunks).
I can hear the wheels turning in your head. How can you help? The answer is as easy as a quick assessment of your contacts and skill sets. Each member qualifies for BATW because of your body of published and/or broadcast work. You have venues you’ve covered and skillsets you’ve culled during a lifetime of professional ‘traveling’. Let us hear from you as we carefully plan another successful year as the premier regional travel writing and broadcasting organization in the country.
