Gary Singh will be appearing in conversation at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco, Tuesday, June 25, to promote his new book, The Unforgettable San Jose Earthquakes: Momentous Stories On & Off the Field. Jules Older’s new book Special Ed and the White Force has been published by a small, independent US publisher, Three Ravens PublishingJules says “It’s kinda’ sci-fi, kinda’ adventure — three kids have to figure how to save the Earth from the vile and evil, slimy and scary White Force.” The theme, saving the planet, echoes the real-life need to save our precious Earth, but Special Ed and the White Force is a funny, brave, sometimes scary story, never a sermon. Lalit Kumar appeared on the Bay Area’s popular Bolly 92.3 FM radio show ‘Making a difference with Sheetal Ohri’ on April 14th, 2024. He spoke about his love for California outdoors, Nature / Adventure poetry and his latest book, ‘Yosemite of My Heart, Poems of Adventure in California’. Laurie McAndish King’s travel story “Blissed Out at the Integratron” was a finalist in the Next Generation Short Story awards. The story, which celebrates the weird inventiveness of California “UFO-contactee” George Van Tassel, will appear in the forthcoming Wandering in the American Desert anthology, due out in November.
