Gil Zeimer has published his new book “Scuba Storyteller: Mostly Humorous Diving Tales by an Addicted AquaNut”. The publication contains 65 stories such as, Warm Memories of Hypothermia and The Day I Rode a Manta Ray. William Cline, Publisher of Scuba Diving Industry Magazine, says “Gil’s stories aren’t just stories––they’re underwater adventures disguised as essays. Bob Cooper had three “custom content” articles published in November by Afar.com describing hikingcycling, and multi-adventure trips offered by EF Adventures. An article on a similar topic–the trend of wellness offerings on river cruises–was also published in November, in Porthole Cruise and Travel.

Jim Shubin and Laurie McAndish King traveled in Greece with scholar and mythologist Phil Cousineau in October. Now they’ve published a 128-page annotated photo journal with some of their favorite memories of the trip, including art, architecture, museums, Greece’s oldest winery, and of course iconic archaeological sites. David Laws’s exhibit of photos selected from the Pat Hathaway Collection at the Monterey County Historical Society to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding event of Pacific Grove will be on display in the Pacific Grove Public Library until January 3.

Russ Johnson was recently honored by the Arts Guild of Sonoma as its guest artist for December. An international filmmaker, photographer and author, Johnson’s lifelong creative journey has taken him from the frozen landscapes of Minnesota to the volcanic terrain of Hawaii and, most recently, the geothermal drama of Yellowstone.

Inga Aksamit’s memoir, Between Worlds: An Expat’s Quest for Belonging, recently received an International Impact Book Award in the Memoir category.
