Maria Lenhart reports that her Lost Treasures of San Francisco (Reedy Press) is published at last. It’s a big beautiful coffee table book loaded with historic pictures and colorful memorabilia from the city’s bygone restaurants, bars, nightclubs, retail stores, amusement parks, sports venues, etc, Also featured are beloved local characters like Robin Williams, the San Francisco Twins, Willie Mays, Herb Caen, Cecil Williams, Lawrence Ferlinghetti and many others. Maria will be doing talks and signings in the weeks ahead at Green Apple Books on the Park, Barnes & Noble San Mateo, North Beach Library, Fireside Books and other venues. She’s happy to send a free PDF (which looks great on an iPad) to any BATW member.
