Susan Alcorn has published her new book, Miles of Kindness: Tales from the Trail. Alcorn collected stories from 30+ experienced hikers–on trails around the world–describing kindness freely given by “trail angels.” Readers not only find entertaining stories, they’ll also be reminded of their own pleasant encounters with kind strangers. Bob Cooper had three articles published over the summer. Two were about Lake Tahoe: a story about driving around the lake for Porthole Cruise & Travel and a deep dive into the myriad environmental initiatives in progress around the lake for KneeDeepTimes.org. The third is a profile of a pioneering Mexican-American female winery owner who picked grapes as a teenager, which appeared in the S.F. Chronicle.
