MJ Pramik has won three 2019 Solas Travel writing awards: One silver each for “Travel Memoir for Morocco: In Search of Baraka, Travel and Shopping” and “Ole! Finding the Perfect Santa Semana dress in Seville”. She was also awarded a bronze for “At the Crack of the Bat” – her experience at the first Cuba World Series game in December 2017.
MJ also garnered three 2019 honorable mentions for: “Cuba: It’s Complicated” (Reflection on Cuba’s brave experiment), “Easter Joy Rising” (Inspiration from Seville’s Santa Semana), and “Nun for a Day” (about a two-night stay in a Buddhist monastery in Koyasan, Japan).
