In 2023, Julia Glenister launched Travel The Four Corners, a magazine-style travel site that blends storytelling with history and cultural context. She began her writing and editing career in England, managing editorial and production for an aviation publisher, then returned to the U.S. to work in Washington, DC, covering defense and foreign affairs with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region. She later co-founded a political risk consultancy and produced a biweekly intelligence newsletter covering the Middle East and East Asia. After moving to the Bay Area, she shifted into public relations during the early era of online travel content publishing and booking. Now returning to travel writing, Julia is building a freelance portfolio and looks forward to connecting with the Bay Area travel-writing community through BATW.
