November Meeting: Asian Art Museum – Nov. 10, 2012

November BATW Meeting – Nov. 10, 2012

(the 2nd, not 3rd Saturday of the month)

10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Asian Art Museum, San Francisco

“Tooting Your Own Horn: How to Promote Yourself in the Digital Age”

As a writer or photographer, it’s paramount that you get the word out about who you are, what your specialities are, and what kind of skill set you bring to the table.
But how do you go about doing that: should you hire a PR professional to assist you, learn how to Tweet and find followers, or focus on creating a brand identity – like Rick Steves?
For our November presentation, we’ll hear from a panel of three knowledgeable professionals in the marketing/branding/PR arena:
1) BATW Associate Member Molly Blaisdell – owner of Hook, Line & Sinker, a PR agency that helps clients discern what specific intelligence is most valuable, focused in the tourism sector
2) BATW alumnus Michael McColl  – CEO of McColl Communications, a consulting firm specializing in integrated marketing & PR programs for travel-related organizations and the author of “The Worldwide Guide to Cheap Airfares.”
3) Renee Berry – CEO of GoBeMore, a consulting firm that works with individuals and organizations who want to establish a presence in new media platforms
The meeting will be held on the SECOND Saturday of November (11/10/12) at the Asian Art Museum. Thanks go to Tim Hallman, with the Asian Art Museum, for providing the space for our meeting.
