10 a.m. – noon
Presentation & Tour of the Exploratorium
On the Embarcadero at Pier 15, San Francisco

After nearly 44 years inside the Palace of Fine Arts, the Exploratorium has reopened in triple its former size in a spectacular new 9-acre campus and landmark building at Pier 15 on the Embarcadero.
“The most important science museum to have opened since the mid-20th century”
“The Exploratorium is the best confluence of science, technology, and art, and the coolest place to be, since the Italian Renaissance in 15th century Florence!”
Also going on that day:
Market Days: Savor Faire: an outdoor festival of Salt, Herbs, and Spices, until 3 p.m. on the pier.
Final race of the America’s Cup, at 1:10 p.m.

Arrival: please be prompt at no later than 10 a.m. We will meet at the Bulkhead entrance (the traditional arched entrance that says Pier 15 at the top) and will enter as a group.
Parking: America’s Cup crowds on the Embarcadero may well affect parking and traffic. Although the race doesn’t start until 1 p.m. It’s a good idea to arrive early, arrange a carpool or take public transportation. (There is a white-curbed loading zone on the Embarcadero just south of the museum where you can be dropped off and picked up.) Here are parking suggestions.
