At our August meeting, we’re fortunate to feature legendary travel writer and editor Don George, who will speak about “The Brave New Worlds of Travel Writing and Publishing.” We’ll meet at Silks restaurant, at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in downtown San Francisco (lunch is included).
Don George is an award-winning travel writer, book author and editor. Among his credentials: Global Travel Editor for Lonely Planet Publications, Founder and Editor of Salon.com’s travel site, Wanderlust, and Travel Editor at the San Francisco Examiner and San Francisco Chronicle. He is also Co-founder and Chairman of the annual Book Passage Travel Writers and Photographers Conference, and appears frequently on NPR, CNN, and other TV and radio outlets.
Former BATW President Diane LeBow is the coordinator for this event, and will act as moderator for the afternoon’s presentation.
